SS Specialties is committed to bringing to our distributors the most environmentally friendly products available in the Market Place. Our philosophy about Decorative Concrete is that it should be in harmony with the planet, and the construction of such art should be accomplished with the most environmentally friendly methods and products. Weather our products are used in the construction of new art, or maintaining and protecting existing structures; you can be confidant that our products will perform in the most environmentally sustainable manner. We will always pursue the greenest path for the benefit, and future of our planet.

Going green is a process better thought of as a "greening" in the decorative concrete industry.

SS Specialties is aware that LEEDS certification is the dominate force influencing product selection, which is a little odd considering LEED certifies projects, not products. It was set up to influence the design and construction process and results in building that are healthier for occupants and better for the environment. In practice, the point system often will recognize products for being less harmful than in the past, but it doesn't always highly rate products that have zero VOCs or are wholly organic and earth friendly unless the industry has set up its own certification standards for them. Thus, SS Specialties has identified certain products that we consider "greener" choices based on VOCs, earth friendlier ingredients and improvements over other ingredients.
